More lake pictures...

My friend, Amy, did a great post on her blog about our trip to the lake, so I thought I would steal her pics and post them on my blog. She also did a great job expressing what a great group we have. I feel very fortunate to have these women/moms in my life. Those of you who have been wanting to see more pics of my belly....here you go. It's hard to avoid in many of these pictures.

A great collage of the trip...

One last trip...

This weekend we took a short (1.5 hour) trip to a lake right over the state line in North Carolina with some friends from my work. It was a great getaway. Here are some pics.

Last day at the pool...and a belly pic!

Dave and I took Drew to the pool today for the last time; it closes tomorrow. It was a little chilly, but he jumped right in with Dave. It's hard to believe that he was hardly swimming at all when summer started.

Dave gives Drew a haircut! He does a great job.

Ok, so I really want to post a picture of me as I'm headed out the door to work with makeup and a better outfit on, but this is the reality of what I look like most days with just over 5 weeks to go. Fat, tired, and very pregnant! Enjoy! Is that a double chin?!?! I think so.

Drew and his machinery

Drew, Dave, and Pops (my dad) took a little Saturday morning trip to the Alpharetta Farmer's Market, and for some reason, Drew had it stuck in his head that he would see some tractors or Bob the Builder equipment...(Scoop, Muck, & Roley), so the men obliged and drove around the area on their way home to find him some equipment. As you can see, they were successful.

In other news, we continue to pass the time until baby #2 arrives. Luckily, college football is here to make the weekends fly by now, and we're loving it! Today and tomorrow will be filled with going through old baby stuff and getting organized...just in case. My mom and some others swear I won't make it to October 15th since my belly is already so big, and yes, I will post a pic soon. I can only hope this baby decides to make an early appearance...I'm hoping for Homecoming weekend!

Can't feel sorry for myself...

Just when I start to feel overwhelmed and ready to complain (Ok, that might not stop) about life, I am reminded of sweet friends like the Heck family. If you get a chance, there is a link to their blog posted on this site for you to check out. This amazing family is being separated again because of Brian Heck's deployment to the Middle East. He is an enlisted member of the United States AirForce and headed back overseas for the second time since I have known his family. He just got back in September from an 11 month deployment and is gone again for the same amount of time. My connection to Brian is through his AMAZING wife, Michelle, who JUST GAVE BIRTH to their 4 week old daughter, Abbigail, and she already has a 2 year old, Thomas, to take care of. Michelle is one of those people that you just want to be around because she loves life and treats her friends and loved ones like gold. Never once during Brian's previous deployment did I ever hear her complain. She got out of bed early every morning to get herself, the house, the dogs, and her son ready for the work day...drove 40 minutes to school and started her day as a teacher with a smile. I am feeling sad for their family right now and wanted to share their story with you. If you pray, say a prayer for Brian's safety and for comfort for all the Hecks as they endure this time apart from one another. Thank you - Brian, for keeping our country safe! & Michelle, for being an inspiration to everyone who knows you!
